@ Akemi, now I have to find out if they knew about the bottle when they gave it to me, or they just thought it was a normal drink.

@ Marelisa, I never had the same experience with Coke or Pepsi. I guess their inventors hadn’t read your ebook!

This also sounds like a great drink for those of us who drink too many sodas each day. Perhaps if we had to work a bit more to get it open (and most likely pay a lot more too), we’d slow down on the soft drinks!

Dear Hunter, Don't you know there was a reason why your friend gave you the bottle of ramune? "a pig, a pumpkin, a watermelon, a fan, a flower, a life preserver, and a UFO" Oh, isn't this SOOOO Japanese!? I think ramune is available at World Market stores. And yes, they are popular exactly for the reason you point out -- the fun of opening it and drinking it with the marble in the way. Or the fun of watching someone do so. Thank you for a good laugh.
