I understand the value of polarization, but I think people should understand that all four of these options (positive, negative, neutral, fluid) are each equally as strong. I like too think of nonpolarization as similar to a Jack of All Trades, not the master of none but the master of versatility. Steve Pavlina himself talks about "lightworker syndrome" and "darkworker syndrome" and there is value in not polarizing.

People are often tempted to mix lightworking and darkworking. This is really dangerous. You’re much better off making a choice and sticking with it.

You mentioned, “Daniel-san, must talk. Walk on road, hmm? Walk right side, safe. Walk left side, safe. Walk middle, sooner or later, get squished just like grape. Here, karate, same thing. Either you karate do ‘yes’ or karate do ‘no.’ You karate do ‘guess so,’ squish, just like grape. Understand?”

Okay so even if you can't walk on the middle of the road, you can cross it and experience both sides. Or get creative and find ways to work the middle of the road (i.e dodge cars or get a car yourself). From a polarization perspective those who are not polarized may seem to lack direction, but from a nonpolarized perspective those that are polarized are narrow minded. To reference jungian typology, polarization = judging while nonpolarization = perceiving

You mentioned, "You can’t build homeless shelters by day, and kidnap billionaire heiresses by night."

Actually you can. what if you kidnap the heiress to receive the ransom money to help develop the shelters? Or build the homeless shelters as a means of raising PR and diverting attention from a life of crime. I believe that only somebody who is strong and fluid in their non polarization could reap the benefits of both light and dark. Non-polarization seems to be the most open minded, creative, and fluid state.

My opinion is that you should identify if you are a lightworker, darkworker, neutralworker, or rainbowworker (maybe spectrumworker would be better). There are pros and cons to each.

this was very enlightening. i never realized i've been living as and making goals as a NEUTRAL-worker! that is absolutely NOT who i want to be!
i WOULD rather die homeless and alone as a lightworker, rather than rich 'successful' and respected as a neutralworker. i dont care about money at all, as long as i'm fulfilling some purpose (which i'm working on discovering/deciding).
THANK YOU!

its in nice way you have presented the concept. Since i cover job hacks as one of main category in my own blog……..all i can say is truth is not always as clear as we want it to be. you can be a darkworker in one face but truly opposite gets reflected if you change you angle a bit. life is all about survival where ethics does plays an important role. And by the way who decide what is ethical and what is not………..I am not sure …………

I really think you may have misunderstood darkworkers.
From what i have see, they are people who value themselves over everyone else. This does not mean that they will end up dragging others down, but will more likely try to lift themselves up. Of course, this will all depend on your personality.
I just find myself agreeing very much with Mary in the negatives of lightworking - why create things that society may not value? It does not motivate me at all.
The thought of growing and improving as a person means that i find motivation selfishly.
Now, stealing and manipulating other people is fine as long as they are not hurt by it. If they are, then they will not like me, and since i want to make myself happy above all else, i will not hurt people.. see?
I think lightworking and darkworking are just methods for motivation. Do you want to create for others or youself?
