I was just at a conference in Toronto ON Canada and he did bring up the concept of writing a book and yes we got the free link for the free book. You have to be open to the Idea and the concept that you don’t need any credintials to write a book or even proper spelling (although the word should look like itself) If you look at a person in school do they question the validity or certification of an author? NOPE! and they are looked at as an athority I mean they did write a book about the topic right? YEP. So by writing a book about a specific topic pertainging to a critical decision making process in any customer relation related business if will sepreate you from your competition and make you an Athority on the topic after all… You did write a book about it right?

@ Natural, it’s even worse than the typical cold calling, because you’re just asking for them to help you while you give them nothing. At least telemarketers are offering you something in return for your money.

@ Vered, that’s a good point–did he actually do it? I’d guess not. And if he did, what were the results? Probably not good!

Sometimes I wonder if any of these guys actually did the things that they tell us to do. Some of the ideas are just crazy.

@ Evelyn, I could never ask that of someone. Even if I could handle the rejection, I’d be thinking “what right do I have to ask this?” You can’t just ask someone to be your coach for no particular reason! I’m glad that you wouldn’t dare do it.

@ Barbara, I find that when someone says “a minute,” it can become 10, so I wonder what 37 minutes could become. I also thought it was a little too precise…why not 37 minutes and 11 seconds?

Most people hate when solicitors call and ask for even “a few moments”, so you better hope the person you call has a lot of compassion for a “newbie” who wants to pick his/her brain.
