I saw this clip on IttyBiz, but it wasn’t working for me at first. I later tried it on a different computer and it worked. I’m really glad I tried it again, because it’s priceless.
Security Cam Footage of Cubicle Rage to the Extreme is Every Cube Dweller’s Fantasy
These videos show a guy who just couldn’t take any more of his cubicle paradise. Watch him fight coworkers, throw monitors, swing an axe, and just cause general destruction before finally being brought down with a taser.
Some people are saying it’s fake, and it might be. I’m not going to run it through my fraud filter, because deep down every employee wants it to be real. I just hope that no one got hurt.
Have you ever wanted to destroy an office? What would it take to make you lose it?

I’m going out of town for a bit, coming back Tuesday night. Play nice.

Hi Hunter,
There’s that mention about your “fraud filter” again. Care to share a link to it?
In answer to your question, No. If I was working for a company that got me that angry, I would just quit. Life is toooooo short.

I’m with Barbara – never felt THAT much rage and I hope I never will.

Probably somthing like Snopes, I’d guess.

Hunter: There’s a Henry David Thoreau quote that says “The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation.” I guess this is what happens when you keep internalizing things; sooner or later you explode. Can you imagine how many lousy things had to happen to him before this to make him go off the deep-end like that?

Sorry to burst your bubble, Hunter.
It’s a very clever fake by Russian director Timur Bekmambetov to virally market his upcoming film, Wanted, movie starring James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie.
Gizmodo, which you linked to, has an updated link that explains and has backlinks going back to Cinematical.
That said, I never wanted to go postal in an office. Breaking down a wall to see the windows, a la Office Space, sure.

I’m a teacher and I’ve been cursed at and yelled at by students and parents. My principal has also driven me mad a few times. But I practice what I preach, which is in the midst of utter frustration and anger, one must remain calm and honorable.

@ Barbara, I agree…the best thing to do in that case is just move on to another job.
@ Vered, I never want to see someone have that much rage. It’s not good for anyone.
@ Hayden, I check a lot of stuff out on Snopes, but this was pretty new and I don’t think it would have made it there yet. But see Ari’s comment.
@ Marelisa, when someone snaps, it’s probably from lots of things added up over time. It’s always a good idea to blow off a little steam now and then to keep it from building up.
@ Ari, thanks for that info! Looks like it’s a fake–though someone on that Cinematical page is saying the confession is a fake! I don’t see how this is an effective ad though. I never would have known the name of the movie if you hadn’t told me.
@ Chris, I can understand how tough it must be for a teacher to deal with all their students, as well as parents and the principal. You should feel proud for always remaining calm and honorable.
