I picked up an old clock lying around and looked at the time, thats when i realized it wasn't working. There was no cell in it. Well then i picked up my watch and to my amazement, it was the exact same time. I compared the two, and the time was same to the minute. I was quite surprised, coz i'd slept off accidentaly, and never noticed that clock earlier, so automatically my mind told me 'The time is right'. Maybe the universe was giving me a signal. There's been this girl in my mind for a while now. I'd talked to her and she had a guy since a long time. I was a bit disappointed. Before that, I used to get all these weird coincidences always somehow pointing to her. But now I'd forced her out of my head. Now I thought maybe!! I immediately went online FB, gtalk everything, but no sign of her. I waited and waited, but nothing happened. Instead, a friend I found quite annoying popped up, and I had to just talk with her. I am really wondering what it means to have a random cat come up to you in the street at night right when you notice a giant ring around the moon. very very wierd. I have experienced these coincidences at various times throughout my life. Usually what it means is that I’m in a good flow, doing the right thing with my life and for myself. When I’m off-track and feeling down, the coincidences stop.

A writing teacher I had says it’s all part of the Reticular Activating System (RAS). If you haven’t already, you might want to google it. Very basically, it’s a part of our brains that is concerned with arousal and motivation.

It’s what is activated when we buy a certain car, then suddenly see that car all over the road. We have become aware of it, so our RAS takes notice and points it out at every instance.

Still, I’m partial to my more spiritual take on the issue. I definitely take it as a sign from the universe.
